Wiążąca jest pełna wersja angielska poniżej.
1.1 These terms apply to translation services sold by Aleksandra Kruk Ltd, trading as Proling (proling.co.uk), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 13320960. Its registered office is 86 Underwood Lane, Crewe, England, CW1 3LE. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Aleksandra Kruk Ltd.
1.2 Contact: the quote form at proling.co.uk; email info@proling.co.uk; phone or WhatsApp +44 77702 99396. Post: the registered office above. If you need to send original documents, we give you the address for them with your quote. VAT: we are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and all prices are final.
1.3 Certifying translator. Sworn (certified) translations are made and certified personally by Aleksandra Kruk, a Polish sworn translator of English (tłumacz przysięgły) on the list kept by the Polish Minister of Justice, entry no. TP/12/20. Aleksandra Kruk is a director of Aleksandra Kruk Ltd. Under Polish law, certifying a translation is a personal professional act of the sworn translator. Aleksandra Kruk Ltd is the party you contract with and pay.
2.1 We provide: (a) sworn (certified) translations between Polish and English; (b) checking and certifying a translation that you supply; (c) on request, arranging an FCDO apostille.
2.2 Delivery formats. (a) Electronic (included in the price): a PDF certified with Aleksandra Kruk's qualified electronic signature (QES), in line with art. 18(1a) of the Polish Act of 25 November 2004 on the profession of sworn translator. Only the electronic file is certified. A printout of the PDF is not a certified translation. You must forward the file itself to the receiving body. (b) Paper: a translation signed and stamped with the sworn translator's seal, sent by post. (c) Both, where ordered.
2.3 Each certified translation states whether it was made from an original document, a copy or another translation, and carries the sworn translator's repertorium number, as Polish law requires (art. 18(2) of the Act). For use in the UK, it also includes an English statement that the translation is a true and accurate translation of the original, with the date, the translator's full name and contact details.
3.1 Acceptance by the receiving body is your responsibility. Different bodies have different rules. Before you order, please check what format the body needs (electronic or paper, translated from an original or a copy, by which kind of translator). For example, the DVLA asks for a translation issued in the UK by a CIOL or ITI member, a recognised translation company or the ATC, and a Polish sworn translation alone may not meet that rule. We will tell you what we know, but we cannot guarantee that a third party will accept a translation.
3.2 You must send complete, legible copies of all pages, and tell us how names, dates and places should be spelled if this is unclear in the source.
3.3 You confirm that you are entitled to give us the documents and the personal data in them.
3.4 Please send documents through the quote form, not by WhatsApp or social media.
4.1 Our prices are shown on proling.co.uk and confirmed in your written quote. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). No VAT is added because we are not VAT registered. Current prices (3 November 2026):
4.2 We may change our published prices at any time, but a change does not affect an order whose quote you have already accepted.
5.1 We give a written quote (price, format, delivery date) based on the documents you send. The quote is valid for 14 days.
5.2 A contract is formed when you accept the quote and pay in full.
5.3 If the document turns out to differ from what was quoted (for example, extra pages or difficult handwriting), we will send you a revised quote before we continue. If you do not accept it, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
6.1 Payment is taken in advance, in full, through a secure payment link from our payment provider Stripe. You can pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. BLIK is planned and will be added when available. We do not see or store your full card details.
6.2 Work starts once payment and all required documents have been received. The delivery date in your quote runs from that point.
6.3 Refunds are paid to the original payment method, normally within 14 days.
7.1 Delivery times are in working days (Monday–Friday, excluding UK bank holidays), counted from receipt of payment and all required documents:
Your quote confirms the exact delivery date. Longer or complex documents may take longer, and the quote will say so.
7.2 If we miss a confirmed Express or Same day deadline through our own fault, we will refund the surcharge for that order. This is in addition to any other rights you have.
7.3 Postal delivery times depend on Royal Mail or the courier. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, but we will help you trace a tracked item.
7.4 If you send us original documents, we return them by tracked or Special Delivery post for £10, unless agreed otherwise in your quote.
8.1 If you are a consumer and the contract is made online or by email, you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
8.2 Because translation work is usually needed quickly, we will only start work within the 14-day cancellation period if you expressly ask us to (for example by ticking a box when you accept the quote). If you do: (a) if you cancel before the service is complete, you must pay a proportionate amount for the work done up to the time you tell us you are cancelling (regulation 36(4) and (6)); and (b) if the service has been fully performed, you lose the right to cancel, provided you have acknowledged this when you asked us to start (regulation 36(2)).
8.3 To cancel, email info@proling.co.uk or call +44 77702 99396. You may use the model cancellation form (available on request), but you do not have to.
9.1 If you believe the translation contains an error, tell us within 30 days of delivery. If the error is ours, we will correct it free of charge and issue a corrected certified translation (including a new paper copy by post, if you ordered one).
9.2 Spelling of names, dates and numbers follows the source document unless you instructed otherwise in writing before the translation was certified.
9.3 Complaints: email info@proling.co.uk with your order number. We will acknowledge within 5 working days and aim to give a full answer within 14 days.
10.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
10.2 Consumers. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your right under section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that the service is performed with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so, you are entitled to a repeat performance (a corrected translation) or, if that is impossible or not done within a reasonable time, a price reduction up to a full refund. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and we do not supply services for business use to consumers.
10.3 Business customers. Our total liability arising from or in connection with an order, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the price paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity.
10.4 We are not responsible for: (a) a receiving body's decision not to accept a translation where we delivered what was ordered (see clause 3.1); (b) errors that come from an illegible, incomplete or incorrect source document, or from spellings you gave us; (c) delays caused by late payment, missing documents or the postal carrier.
11.1 We keep your documents and information confidential. As a sworn translator, Aleksandra Kruk is also bound by professional secrecy under art. 14 of the Polish Act on the profession of sworn translator.
11.2 We use your personal data as described in our Privacy Notice (proling.co.uk/privacy.html).
11.3 Polish law requires the sworn translator to keep a register (repertorium) of certified translations (art. 17 of the Act). This register contains limited details of each certified translation and is kept as the law requires.
12.1 We may update these terms. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that order.
12.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep any mandatory protections of the law where you live and may bring a claim in your local courts.
12.3 If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
